Estancias para profesores en Estados Unidos de América

Host University:
Ohio Northwestern University (Ohio)
Fulbright Program Dates: January 3 to April 15, 2009
Profile Requested: Performing Arts, Dance, Music
Description:
· The visiting professor from Mexico will collaborate in a special course called Mexican Culture and Dance and will give lectures in Mexican History and
Music to students
· He/she will work with university students and professors in the performing arts areas, with a special focus on dance students
· He/ she will be asked to collaborate with other academia departments such as music, history and Spanish language
· He/ she will be asked to help give demonstrations to students at the university level and to public schools in the community
· He/ she will be asked to work on the design and implementation of a public dance performance


Host University:
Lewis University (Illinois)
Fulbright Program Dates: January 20 to April 30, 2009
Profile Requested: Sociology, Cultural Studies, Latin American Studies
Description:
· The visiting professor from Mexico will co-teach two general education and Sociology courses, providing a Latin American perspective. These courses will be part of the new program in Latin Studies and Global Studies which Lewis University has recently developed
· He /she will participate in a variety of student activities, including the Latin American Students Organization (LASO) to promote Hispanic awareness
· He /she will have the opportunity to work with a variety of community groups to help implement community action, such as voter registration, policy advocacy, and grass roots organizing
